The Leather Simanim Pouch & Card Set from Waterdale Collection is a set of four simanim (סימנים) cards for Rosh Hashanah, crafted in refined faux leather. Each card carries the Rosh Hashanah (ראש השנה) blessings — the prayers said over apple and honey, pomegranate, dates, and the other symbolic foods of the Jewish New Year — and slips into a coordinating leather pouch with Shana Tova lettering that keeps the set together from one Yom Tov to the next.
Set a card at each place setting so every guest can follow along with the blessings. At 5" x 8", each durable leather card is easy to read and just as easy to pass around during the holiday meal.
The Leather Simanim Pouch & Card Set also makes a thoughtful Rosh Hashanah gift, hostess gift, or housewarming gift. Personalize the pouch to create a Judaica keepsake that returns to the table year after year.
It is a great concept I just did not realize it was leather, for some reason I thought cards would be lucite/ acrylic. It is hard to clean leather. I came up with an idea and I had everyone put it under the plastic.
Beautiful piece
Love these new Simanim Cards. It's a classical upgrade to the acrylic ones.
The best Rosh Hashanah gifts are pieces that come back to the table year after year: an elegant honey dish, a simanim tray, a leather challah board, or pomegranate-themed serving pieces. For a hostess gift, a decorative accent in the holiday's gold, white, and pomegranate palette pairs beautifully with a jar of honey or a fruit platter. Because Rosh Hashanah pieces are reused annually, a gift given once is often still on the family's Yom Tov table a decade later.
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkos all fall within about three weeks, so shopping the whole fall Yom Tov season in one pass saves repeated orders and shipping deadlines. Many pieces — tablecloths, serving platters, chargers — work across both holidays' meals, while items like a shofar bag or etrog box are holiday-specific. One well-planned order in late summer covers the entire season.
Sukkos begins on 15 Tishrei, two weeks after Rosh Hashanah, with Yom Kippur in between — in 2026, Rosh Hashanah begins the evening of September 11 and Sukkos begins the evening of September 25. That's a tight window to build a sukkah and prepare a second round of Yom Tov meals. Most families use the days right after Rosh Hashanah to start sukkah preparations, which is why shopping for both holidays before Rosh Hashanah is the practical move.
Yes — there's no requirement for holiday-specific dishware for either Yom Tov, so dinnerware, chargers, and serving pieces carry straight from the Rosh Hashanah table into the sukkah. Some families switch linens or centerpieces to keep each holiday feeling distinct despite the close timing. Reusing the core pieces across the season is both traditional and practical.
Beyond the Rosh Hashanah table, Sukkos calls for its own pieces: an etrog box, a lulav holder for the arba minim, sukkah decorations, and durable serving ware for outdoor meals. None of these overlap with the Rosh Hashanah table, so they're easy to miss until the week they're needed. Adding them to the same late-summer order avoids the post-Yom-Kippur scramble.
Generally yes — Sukkos meals are eaten outdoors in the sukkah, where break-resistant materials like leatherette, acrylic, and melamine hold up better than fine china on an uneven table. Indoor Rosh Hashanah meals can lean toward finer, more delicate pieces without that risk. Many families keep a sturdier sukkah set separate from their nicer indoor Yom Tov tableware.
A versatile serving piece or leatherette tray that works on an indoor Rosh Hashanah table and an outdoor sukkah table covers the whole season in one gift. Pomegranate-themed pieces are especially apt, since the pomegranate is both a Rosh Hashanah siman and one of the seven species celebrated on Sukkos. Gifts usable across the full fall Yom Tov season simply get more use than single-occasion items.
