The Painted Havdalah Plate from the Waterdale Collection carries the full text of Havdalah printed on crystal clear Lucite, in nusach Ashkenaz / Sefard. Soft watercolor art of a kiddush cup, a lit candle and an olive branch sits beside the text, under a gold הבדלה title.

Set your kiddush cup, besamim and candle on the plate at the close of Shabbos, and the words are right there in front of you — no bencher to find, nothing to pass around. The clear Lucite reads cleanly against any tablecloth or wood.

A piece of Judaica that comes out every single week, it makes a thoughtful hostess gift, a wedding or engagement gift, or a housewarming gift for a new Jewish home. Add engraving to make it personal.

Frequently Asked Questions

What text is on the Painted Havdalah Plate?
It features the full Havdalah text: the opening pesukim, beginning with הִנֵּה קֵל יְשׁוּעָתִי, followed by the four Havdalah brachos: בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֱלֹקֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, בּוֹרֵא פְּרִי הַגָּפֶן.

What pesukim are said at the beginning of Havdalah?

What does the Havdalah text mean?
Havdalah begins with pesukim expressing our trust in Hashem as our strength and salvation and our hope that He will answer us when we call upon Him. They speak of the joy, gladness, and honor associated with Hashem's salvation and express our hope for His continued protection and blessing. We then recite brachos over wine and fragrant spices, followed by the blessing over the light of a candle with multiple wicks. The final bracha praises Hashem for creating distinctions between holy and ordinary, light and darkness, Klal Yisrael and the nations, and Shabbos and the six weekdays.

Which nusach is the Painted Havdalah Plate available in?
It's available in nusach Ashkenaz / Sefard.
