The Taupe Kosel Washing Cup from the Waterdale Collection carries the Kosel (כותל) around a clear Lucite cup — courses of Jerusalem stone in warm taupe, tan and gold beneath a soft painted sky. A brushed gold handle finishes it.
Made for netilas yadayim (נטילת ידים) — the washing before Hamotzi, and first thing in the morning — it sits as easily on a bathroom vanity as it does beside the kitchen sink. The soft taupe and gold read well against marble, white or wood.
It coordinates with the rest of the Jerusalem Taupe Collection, from the challah board to the Birchas Habayis. Add engraving to make it a kallah, wedding or housewarming gift.
A Netilat Yadayim washing cup is a special cup used for ritual hand washing in Jewish tradition, including upon waking in the morning, after using the restroom, and before eating bread. Also called a Netilas Yadayim cup, it typically has two handles for convenient pouring. Waterdale offers modern Lucite and resin washing cups that combine traditional Jewish practice with elegant Judaica design.
Our washing cups come in a range of beautiful, durable materials:
Whether you prefer a minimalist clear cup or a colorful resin design, each Netilas Yadayim washing cup brings beauty and practicality to a daily mitzvah.
Yes! Many two-handled Netilas Yadayim washing cups can also be used for Negel Vasser, the ritual hand washing done upon waking.
