The Onyx Sukkah Decorations from the Waterdale Collection let you create your own coordinated sukkah wall, with each design available individually. Choose from Ushpizin (אושפיזין), Netilas Lulav (נטילת לולב), Kiddush (קידוש), Vesamachta Bechagecha (ושמחת בחגך), or Harachaman (הרחמן).
Each panel is printed on white Lucite at 20" x 16", in a modern black-and-white scheme with gold accent details, and comes with four small holes and adhesives for easy hanging in the Sukkah.
Want the whole wall at once? The Set of Onyx Sukkah Decorations includes all five designs together. Add engraving for an exquisite Judaica gift for Sukkos (סוכות).
I love the design of this and the quality of it is great. It is thick plastic and I love that it will not get ruined in the rain and should last for many years to come. It is also nice that it matches and blends with the rest if the items in the set.
The Ushpizin are the seven shepherds of Klal Yisroel — Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, Yosef, Moshe, Aharon, and Dovid — who the Zohar teaches visit every sukkah, one leading each night of the holiday. Welcoming them is one of Sukkos' beloved customs, and Ushpizin decorations keep their presence visible all week.
The invitation, drawn from the Zohar, welcomes all seven guests each night while naming that evening's leader — beginning with Avraham on the first night. A decoration on the wall presents the text so whoever leads simply reads.
The custom is to recite it upon entering the sukkah or at the very start of the evening meal, before Kiddush in many homes. Having it on the wall means the moment is never skipped in the bustle of serving.
An Ushpizin decoration displays the names and invitation text of the seven guests, turning the nightly welcome into a moment the whole table shares. It's the rare decoration that's also a text used every single night of Yom Tov.
The Lucite panels include four small holes for hanging plus four adhesives, so they go up on a fabric or solid sukkah wall without extra hardware. The vinyl decorations have metal grommets so they hang flat against the wall with zip ties or magnets, then roll up easily when Yom Tov is over.
Vinyl pieces roll with your murals; acrylic plaques store flat and padded with the tabletop pieces. Kept dry while in storage, the same Ushpizin set welcomes the Seven Guests for many years.
Yes. Lucite and waterproof vinyl are made for sukkah conditions — dew, damp evenings, and the nightly temperature drop that ruins paper. Printouts curl by night three; these come back next year.
