The Leather Simanim Pouch & Card Set from Waterdale Collection is a set of four simanim (סימנים) cards for Rosh Hashanah, crafted in refined faux leather. Each card carries the Rosh Hashanah (ראש השנה) blessings — the prayers said over apple and honey, pomegranate, dates, and the other symbolic foods of the Jewish New Year — and slips into a coordinating leather pouch with Shana Tova lettering that keeps the set together from one Yom Tov to the next.
Set a card at each place setting so every guest can follow along with the blessings. At 5" x 8", each durable leather card is easy to read and just as easy to pass around during the holiday meal.
The Leather Simanim Pouch & Card Set also makes a thoughtful Rosh Hashanah gift, hostess gift, or housewarming gift. Personalize the pouch to create a Judaica keepsake that returns to the table year after year.
It is a great concept I just did not realize it was leather, for some reason I thought cards would be lucite/ acrylic. It is hard to clean leather. I came up with an idea and I had everyone put it under the plastic.
Beautiful piece
Love these new Simanim Cards. It's a classical upgrade to the acrylic ones.
Leatherette Judaica cards are tefillah and bracha cards printed on durable faux leather. They're lightweight, easy to read, and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Choose from fridge magnets, 5" x 8" table cards, and pouch sets for Shabbos, Yom Tov, and every day.
The Hadlokas Neiros (הדלקת נרות) Pouch includes a leatherette card with the bracha recited after lighting the Shabbat candles, a small matchbox, and 2 tea lights. The Havdalah (הבדלה) Pouch includes a leatherette card, a small matchbox, a small Havdalah candle, and a leatherette besamim (בשמים) case. Both are ready-to-go sets for travel, guests, or a Shabbos away.
The Shabbos / Yom Tov Pouch holds 5 cards in nusach Ashkenaz / Sefard:
Birchas Rishonos are the brachos said before eating:
Borei Nefashos (בורא נפשות) is a blessing recited after eating certain foods or drinking certain beverages, when the applicable halachic requirements are met. It expresses our gratitude to Hashem for creating and sustaining all living things and providing us with what we need to live.
The text of the bracha is:
Single magnets are available for:
Mizmor L’Sodah (Tehillim 100) is a song of thanksgiving that was sung when the korban todah was brought in the Beis Hamikdash. It calls on the whole world to serve Hashem with joy, recognizing that He created us and that His kindness lasts forever. Many keep it on display as a daily reminder to thank Hashem.
