We're closed for Shabbos. We reopen [[opentime]]. Time until we reopen: [[countdown]]. Thanks for understanding.
With this bracha, we thank Hashem for making us holy through His mitzvos and for commanding us to light candles in honor of Shabbos. The candles bring light, peace, and shalom bayis into the home as Shabbos begins.
On Yom Tov, the bracha ends with יוֹם טוֹב (Yom Tov), and when Yom Tov falls on Shabbos both are mentioned:
On most Yamim Tovim, Shehecheyanu (שהחיינו) is added. Please consult your rabbi for guidance on specific halachic questions, as customs and practices may vary.
