Are your Gedolim prints framed?
Many of our Gedolim options are available framed or flat lucite, depending on the product. Please check the individual product page for available options.
What is the difference between your in-stock and custom Gedolim artwork?
Our in-stock Gedolim pieces are ready-made designs available for immediate purchase and faster shipping.
Custom Gedolim artwork allows you to personalize the style, size, frame, wording, or even request a specific Gadol not currently available in the collection.
What styles are available?
In-stock Gedolim art comes in two main looks: the Gadol Sketch series (black-and-white sketch portraits on lucite, starting at $170) and the Framed Light series (light-toned, refined portraits in a premium white lucite frame, priced at $200). We also carry Tabletop Gadol Sketch plaques in an arched lucite format with gold hardware — perfect for a seforim shelf or desk ($44).
Custom prints and styles are available. Find the custom options in the Full Gedolim Collection
What material are the Gedolim Prints made of?
All Gedolim wall art is printed on sleek, high-clarity lucite. The pieces mount slightly off the wall — about ¾" — using included chrome hardware, creating a floating effect that adds depth and presence. The Framed Light series features a white acrylic frame with gold mounting accents.
What sizes do the Rabbi In-stock wall arts come in?
Most in-stock Gadol Sketches are available in standard sizes including tabletop 7x9" & wall 16x20. Tabletop pieces are a compact arched format ideal for shelves and desks. If you need a different size, contact us — custom sizing is available. Email dassy@waterdalecollection.com
What's the difference between the 'Mask' & 'No Mask' option?
This option applies to the Custom Order Gadol Sketch, and it's worth understanding before ordering. The 'Yes Mask' option adds a white layer behind the sketch itself (not the clear areas), creating a more pronounced cut-out effect — ideal for darker or colored walls. The 'No Mask' option gives a cleaner, hand-sketched look with no background layer, integrating seamlessly into lighter walls. On very dark walls, No Mask may be harder to see.
Are In-stock items returnable?
Standard in-stock items are eligible for exchange within 20 days of receipt. Items must be in original condition with all packaging intact. Custom pieces, however, are not returnable or exchangeable. To start an exchange, email info@waterdalecollection.com with your order number.
What custom Gedolim Print options do you offer?
We offer several custom options: (1)Custom Order Gadol Sketch— order any in-catalog Gadol in your chosen size on lucite, starting at $165. (2)Custom Sketch— submit your own photo and we'll hand-sketch it into a one-of-a-kind lucite piece, from $330. (3)Custom Colored Sketch— a full-color version of the custom sketch, from $485. (4)Custom Painted Gadol Sketch— a fully hand-painted original, starting at $3,300.
Can I request a Gadol who isn't listed in the catalog?
Absolutely. If your Gadol isn't in our standard catalog, you can order a Custom Black & White Sketch or a custom Colored Sketch by submitting a photo of your own. Our artist will create a hand-sketched portrait printed on lucite. You can choose portrait sketch (head/shoulders focus) or full sketch. Visit the Custom Sketch product page or contact us to get started.
What photo should I submit for a custom sketch?
For the best result, submit a clear, high-resolution photo with good lighting and a visible face. Front-facing or slightly angled photos work best. Our team will review the image and reach out if anything needs clarification before production begins.
How long does a custom order take?
Standard custom orders take approximately 3–4 weeks for production. If you need it sooner, we offer a Rushed option that takes approximately 1.5 weeks. For more details on rushed orders, email dassy@waterdalecollection.com.
Note: rushed availability may vary during busy seasons — reach out early.
Can I add a personalized name or message to a custom piece?
Yes! Personalization is available as an add-on. After selecting your Gadol Sketch, click the personalization link on the product page to add names, dates, or a message. This is a popular choice for dinners, appreciation, bar mitzvahs, upsherin gifts, and memorial tributes.
Will my custom lucite piece look exactly like the in-stock version?
Not necessarily. Custom order pieces are produced in their own facility with their own process. While they follow the same aesthetic, exact color, contrast, and finish may vary slightly from the standard catalog versions. We're transparent about this so you can set the right expectation before ordering.
Will I receive a proof before production?
For many custom orders, we provide a proof or preview for approval before final production begins.
For an print of a Gadol from our catalog, a proof is not necessarily sent.
What sizes are available for custom order?
The Custom Order Gadol Sketch comes in 8x10, 11x14, 13x16, 16x20, 18x18, 18x24, 22x22, and 24x30. The Custom Sketch and Custom Colored Sketch offer 16x20, 16x20 Rushed, 18x24, and 24x30. For sizes outside these options, email us — we do accommodate custom dimensions.
Are custom orders final sale?
Yes. All custom orders — including Custom Gadol Sketch, Custom Sketch, Custom Colored Sketch, and Custom Painted pieces — are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Please review your selections carefully and feel free to reach out before ordering if you have any questions.
What occasions are Gedolim pieces popular for?

The pieces are also popular for yeshiva offices, shuls, and study rooms, as well as corporate or donor gifting. The tabletop sketches are especially popular for desks and seforim shelves.
