This magnificent Leather Challah Cover will make a striking addition to your Shabbos table. Unique design looks gorgeous when laid on top of Challahs. Features white leather with a classic line border. Premium quality & feel! Both practical and beautiful, this Challah cover would make a great gift.
I bought this cover with the matching challah board for a wedding gift and they absolutely loved it!
Both are built on the same Classic 2.0 line, so pieces from either coordinate on one table — the Classic 2.0 Kiddush Yom Tov Card appears in both looks, and suspended honey dishes run through both. The difference is what leads the styling. The 2024 tablescape is the warmer, more textured of the two: beveled leather chargers, leather Simanim napkin wraps and pouch, a leaf lace tablecloth, and contoured metal serveware. The Classic 2.0 tablescape is cooler and more geometric, built around apple mirrored chargers with Diamond and Pearlstone pieces. Pick by the finish you want leading the table — buying across both years works fine.
A raised challah board lifts it off the table and gives it a presence at the head of the setting, creating a clear break between the challah and everything served around it. The raised profile also makes slicing easier, since the board sits closer to hand height.
Most run roughly 15 to 20 inches across, enough to cover two standard challahs on a board with some drape. Measure your board first and allow a few inches on each side, since a cover that only just reaches the edges slides off whenever the board is moved. A board and cover bundle removes the guesswork entirely.
Very little. Wipe them with a dry or barely damp cloth after the meal and let them air dry flat, away from direct heat. Keep them out of standing water, and store them flat rather than stacked on edge so the bevel holds its shape.
A challah cover is a flat panel laid over the challah on the board, while a challah pouch is an enclosed sleeve the challah slides into, keeping it covered on all sides so your challah stays warm and fresh. Both fulfill the halachic requirement of keeping the challah covered during the Kiddush recital and the blessing on the bread.
After Yom Tov, treat spills with cold water rather than rubbing, and follow the care label, which for most lace means a gentle wash and no wringing. Air dry flat or hang rather than machine drying, and store the tablecloth rolled or loosely folded so permanent creases do not set into the pattern.
