    Frequently Asked Questions

What text is on the Silver Netilas Lulav Painted by Batya Vinyl Sukkah Decoration?
It features the Yehi Ratzon tefillos said before taking the Arba Minim, followed by the bracha of Netilas Lulav and Shehecheyanu:
    • Shehecheyanu (for the first time):

What does the Netilas Lulav bracha mean?
With this bracha we thank Hashem for making us holy with His mitzvos and commanding us to take the lulav together with the esrog, hadassim and aravos on Sukkos. The Yehi Ratzon before it asks that our mitzvah of the Arba Minim be as precious before Hashem as if we had all the holy intentions of the Anshei Knesses Hagedolah. Shehecheyanu is recited the first time we take the lulav each Sukkos.
