Topped with a die-cut apple in frosted Lucite, the Die-Cut Apple Simanim Card from the Waterdale Collection is printed with the simanim (סימנים) blessings — the prayers said over apple dipped in honey, pomegranate, head of the fish/sheep, and the other symbolic foods of the Rosh Hashanah (ראש השנה) table – in either nusach Ashkenaz / Sefard or Edut Mizrach.

Set one at each seat or stand it as a centerpiece by adding a matching Lucite base. Available in gold and silver, it makes an elegant Jewish New Year gift that coordinates with any holiday tablescape.

A stray drip of honey lifts right off the wipeable, honey-proof, and waterproof Lucite and the die-cut apple gives the card a fresh, festive silhouette on the Rosh Hashanah table.

What do the Rosh Hashanah Simanim mean?
The Rosh Hashanah Simanim are symbolic foods eaten on the first night of Rosh Hashanah, each accompanied by a Yehi Ratzon prayer. Through these prayers, we ask Hashem for a sweet new year, increased merits, to multiply like fish, to be at the head and not the tail, and for our enemies to be removed and our merits brought before Him.
