    • Before the meal:

    Who are the Ushpizin?
The Ushpizin are seven holy guests: Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, Moshe, Aharon, Yosef and Dovid. According to the Zohar, they come to visit every sukkah on Sukkos. Each day one of them leads, and all seven are welcomed before the meal. Inviting them also reminds us to welcome guests, especially those in need, into our sukkah.
