Frequently Asked Questions

What text is included in the Painted Shabbos & Yom Tov Zemiros Bencher Set?
It features the full Birchas Hamazon (Bentching) along with Zemiros for Shabbos and Yom Tov.

What does the first bracha of benching say?

What does benching mean?
Benching, or Birchas Hamazon, is made up of four main brachos. The first, thanking Hashem for feeding the whole world, was composed by Moshe Rabbeinu. The second, thanking Hashem for Eretz Yisrael, was composed by Yehoshua. The third, asking for the rebuilding of Yerushalayim, was composed by Dovid Hamelech and his son Shlomo Hamelech. The fourth, praising Hashem Who is good and does good, was added later by Chazal.
