The Die-Cut Pomegranate Simanim Card from the Waterdale Collection is white Lucite topped with a red die-cut pomegranate — one of the symbolic foods of the Jewish New Year. The card has the yehi ratzon (יהי רצון) text for each of the Rosh Hashanah (ראש השנה) simanim, from apple dipped in honey to pomegranate and dates, in nusach Ashkenaz / Sefard.

Set one at each place, or add a Lucite base to stand it in the middle of the table as a centerpiece.

The die-cut pomegranate makes this as much a decorative accent as a place card. The Lucite is wipeable, honey-proof, and waterproof, making it a sharp-looking and practical Jewish New Year gift that returns to the table each year.

What do the Rosh Hashanah Simanim mean?
The Rosh Hashanah Simanim are symbolic foods eaten on the first night of Rosh Hashanah, each accompanied by a Yehi Ratzon prayer. Through these prayers, we ask Hashem for a sweet new year, increased merits, to multiply like fish, to be at the head and not the tail, and for our enemies to be removed and our merits brought before Him.
