What does Al Hamichya mean?
Al Hamichyah, also called Me’ein Shalosh, is a blessing recited after eating certain foods, including mezonos made from the five grains, drinking wine or grape juice, or eating fruits of the seven species. It thanks Hashem for the food and for Eretz Yisrael, asks Him to rebuild Yerushalayim and the Beis Hamikdash, and closes by praising Hashem, Who is good and does good for all.
What does the Asher Yatzar bracha mean?
Asher Yatzar thanks Hashem for forming the human body with great wisdom, with its many openings and passageways. It recognizes that if even one were blocked, or opened when it shouldn't be, we could not survive. It praises Hashem as the One Who heals all flesh and does wonders by keeping our bodies working every day.
